About this sauna
Foxglen sits down a long gravel lane in the Wicklow hills, and the drive in is part of the pleasure. There's a wood-fired sauna with a view, a river to dip in, ice baths and buckets, a hot tub to finish and a cafe by the water afterwards. Allow an extra ten minutes for the track in from the road, then don't rush any of the rest of it.

“Really enjoyed this - the facilities were incredibly well maintained and the river plunge pool is fantastic. The staff are really friendly and helpful, and the available water is a nice touch, as well as the tea/coffee shop. The only tiny nitpick I had is that the absolutely stunning view from the sauna was interrupted by a car parked nearby - I would suggest keeping the view from the sauna as unimpeded as possible. Otherwise this was 100/100 and will definitely be back!”

“We visited Foxglen on a sunny Saturday morning and were in awe of the surroundings on the drive up to the location. Note there is a long gravel road from the entrance pinned on maps so allow and extra 5-10 minutes to drive slowly and enjoy the surroundings. We enjoyed the cold plunges and hot tub and lovely conversation with Miriam. A cup of tea in the sun afterwards made for the perfect, relaxing morning. Thank you! Will be back”

“BEST SAUNA IV BEEN TOO This place is absolutely class I loved it. The staff are amazing, they were friendly and good crack. The place is very clean and tidy and staff were on hand it you if you needed anything. There is a lovely homely vide from it. It is a hidden gem that is well worth travelling too, you won't be disappointed. I would rate this a 10/10 and would highly recommend it. We have already booked in again 🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩”
