A floating sauna on Lough Ramor at Virginia, which is as good as it sounds: sit in the heat looking out at the water, then swim in the lake itself. It's spacious, spotless and kept at just the right temperature, with cute changing rooms and easy booking. Ronan and Tony are the sort of hosts people come back for.

“My husband and I booked a session post half marathon to recover...The setting is amazing its a very surreal experience to sit in an ice bath and look over the lake. The sauna and ice bath were just what we needed post run. The facilities are exceptionally clean and Darragh was friendly and attentive. Very reasonably priced for a 5 star experience. I would highly recommend.”
