Oileánra pairs a wood-fired sea sauna with traditional seaweed baths on a scenic archipelago at Leitir Mealláin, with a plunge straight into the Atlantic to finish. It's a wonderfully remote, spectacular setting, and the seaweed treatment itself, barrels of it releasing their oils into the hot water, is a highlight in its own right.

“An absolute must-visit if you are traveling around Connemara! We brought a group here for a birthday celebration and the setup is 10/10. The wood-fired sea sauna paired with a refreshing plunge directly into the Atlantic is top-tier hot-to-cold therapy. What makes this place truly special is that for anyone in your group who doesn't fancy the sauna or sea dip, they have outdoor seaweed bath in barrels available to book as well. Relaxing in the hand-harvested Atlantic seaweed while taking in the rugged coastal views was unforgettable. 🤌🧖‍♀️🌊”

“Wir haben alles an unserem Aufenthalt in den Oileanra Seaweed Baths geliebt. Die Fässer waren voller Algen, welche durch das heiße Wasser Öle abgegeben haben, die sich richtig wohltuend auf der Haut angefühlt haben! Es war so schön, die Möglichkeit zu haben, während des Aufenthalts auch ins Meer über einen Badesteg zu gehen und in der Sauna sich danach aufzuwärmen - mit Meeresblick und mit sehr netten Einheimischen. Der Besitzer war so freundlich und hat auch ganz tolle Algenprodukte. Wir fahren jetzt mega happy und mit einer heißen Schokolade aus dem nebenstehenden Kiosk weiter. Was ein wunderbares Erlebnis! ☺️”
