About this sauna

Skellig Sauna runs wood-fired saunas across several pitches on the Iveragh Peninsula in southwest Kerry, along the Wild Atlantic Way and Ring of Kerry routes. The saunas are well-made and uncrowded in gorgeous coastal settings, though it's worth checking which of the group's locations you've booked, as the experience can vary between them.

We had a lovely sauna experience at St. Finian's Bay last week. Our host was quick and accommodating, and the location is stunningly beautiful. We did a double session (90 minutes) and had a very relaxing time going from the sauna to a cold plunge in the ocean and back again. What a memorable experience - highly recommend!

Honestly the best experience it’s so clean and well maintained and the person who greeted us was so kind we were running a few minutes late and because the next session wasn’t fully booked he kindly gave us the extra minutes missed which was not expected! Honestly you need to do this and if your unsure just know it’s super relaxing

This is a lovely clean, modern sauna which is very close to the slipway on Cuas Crom beach, making a dip in the sea very easy. There are clean public toilets and a changing room next to it. It’s not a barrel sauna so you can sit back properly on the nice wide benches, and the timber wasn’t too hot to lean back against. The raised floor inside is a nice feature. There was good heat and a lovely blast from the steam. All in all a great sauna in a beautiful location. My only complaint would be that 45 minute sessions are too short. An hour gives time for 3 decent sessions with a comfortable cooling time in between.

I have been to many, many saunas…in Ireland, around Finland…etc. And I absolutely LOVE this Sauna! It is the cleanest and most beautifully kept sauna. It has the wonderful feature of one-way glass which means that although I can look out, others cannot see in. There is space to leave my belongings and also to transition from sauna to outdoors. The area in Cois Crom has excellent amenities with changing area, toilets and showers; again all perfectly kept. Highly recommend you book a sauna session here…and if you have the opportunity, book yourself a yoga+sauna session! LUSH 👌💫🥰✨

Did a session here at Cuas Crom this morning… absolutely amazing! The setup is very clean and well thought out and being able to take a dip in the sea in between rounds makes it even better, a perfect way to reset. The host was really welcoming and made the whole experience easy and enjoyable. Definitely a spot I’ll be coming back to!
