Saunas in Kerry

Kerry is the edge of Europe, and its saunas look out over it: the Dingle Peninsula from Inch Beach round to Castlegregory and Brandon Bay, the Ring of Kerry from Cahersiveen down to Ballinskelligs, St Finian's Bay and Caherdaniel, and the Kenmare River at Tuosist. Kerry has one of the deepest sauna scenes in the country, and the sauna-and-sea-swim habit is now part of the coast's routine.

Castlegregory, Ballinskelligs and Caherdaniel are the busiest spots. Fenit has a sauna by the lighthouse, Banna Strand has one on the dunes, Inch Beach one on the sand, and Dingle, Ballyferriter, Feohanagh and Cromane fill in the peninsula. Wood-fired saunas lead, then barrel saunas, with mobile saunas and beach saunas too. Cold plunges, changing areas and showers are common, and some venues are listed as accessible. If you are driving the Ring or the Slea Head loop, a sauna is the best possible reason to stop. Cork is next door for more.
