Saunas in Roscommon

Roscommon is landlocked and lake-strewn, with the Shannon along its eastern edge and Lough Key, Lough Gara and the Shannon's own loughs filling the rest. Its saunas sit by that water. Listed here: Cavetown Lake Sauna at Croghan, Cé Sauna at Boyle near Lough Key, Sauna Castlerea in the west of the county, and Sweathouse Battlebridge on the Shannon at Leitrim Village.

Barrel and wood-fired saunas, some of them mobile, and changing areas, cold plunges, showers and group bookings are all listed. Lough Key Forest Park makes Boyle a natural base for a sauna weekend, and the Shannon at Battlebridge is a short walk from Carrick-on-Shannon. Roscommon borders Mayo, Sligo, Leitrim, Longford, Westmeath, Offaly and Galway, so it is the hub of a proper lakeland circuit. Cavetown Lake at Croghan sits between Boyle and Carrick-on-Shannon; Castlerea covers the west of the county on the road between Roscommon town and Castlebar.
