Freshwell sits in Millennium Park at Freshford, right beside the river, and there is a real sense of calm about the place from the moment you arrive. The wood-fired sauna is properly hot and steps lead straight down to clean, deep, cold water. There's an ante room for your bag and enough space for a group.

The firewood sauna itself is something special — the natural heat feels incredibly soothing, and the gentle crackle of the wood adds such an authentic, grounding atmosphere. What really stands out is how thoughtfully everything is put together. The setting is beautiful and peaceful, making it easy to fully switch off and relax. Stepping out into the fresh air between sessions feels amazing, leaving you refreshed and re-energised. Sauna is right beside river. 10 seconds out and you are in crystal clear fresh spring water swimming and enjoy nature.”

“Freshwell Sauna is an incredible experience from start to finish. The combination of the hot, firewood sauna and the fresh spring water is just perfect — so refreshing and revitalising. The sauna itself is spacious, with a large and beautiful seating area that makes it really comfortable to relax and unwind. What makes it even more special is the location — it’s right beside the river, surrounded by a stunning park and even a nearby waterfall. The natural setting adds so much to the whole experience and makes it feel peaceful and unique. Moving between the heat of the sauna and the cool, fresh water is absolutely amazing — you leave feeling re-energised and clear-headed. Highly recommend Freshwell Sauna to anyone looking for a relaxing escape in nature. I’ll definitely be coming back soon”
