Hideaway lives up to its name, set in a peaceful, planted corner outside Kilkenny where the greenery does as much work as the heat. The wood-fired sauna and cold plunge are spotless and carefully laid out, and the staff have a habit of remembering faces. Visitors describe feeling genuinely at peace there, which not every sauna manages.

“Had a great experience at The Hideaway Sauna. The staff are really friendly and welcoming, and the whole place is spotless and well looked after. The sauna itself is one of the hottest I’ve been in—the temperature is absolutely perfect. The hot tub is a great addition too, ideal for relaxing between rounds. Loved the choice of cold plunges as well, with 15°C, 10°C, and a seriously bracing 4°C if you’re up for it. Overall, a smashing spot to relax and recharge—would highly recommend.”
