About this sauna

The Hot Box's Cork city site is less a single sauna than a little village of them: saunas of all shapes and sizes, three plunge pools with one kept warm, and a relaxation area with couches to sprawl on between rounds. Regulars describe it as spacious and laid back, and the staff keep it spotless and well run.

Nice place for a sauna, may lack a bit of diversity in the pool sector but I would still recommend. It's an open sauna so be mindful of the weather

The pools are very pleasant, especially the hot one. However the saunas are dirty and noisy and all feel the same temperature. The “quiet” sauna is a joke. Any time I’ve gone in there, people are chatting loudly so it’s not one bit quiet. Last time I went there was a couple in one of the pools almost having a ride. Very off putting. It’s not a relaxing experience when you have 19 other people around you being very noisy. I know some people enjoy that buzz and that’s cool, but it’s not what I want out of a sauna experience. I recently tried rescheduling an appointment, but I was outside of the 5 hour window and Niamh was very rude on the phone. After my husband and I spending a good bit of money there, buying their bundles over the last few months in the Cork sauna village, I wouldn’t darken their doors again.

I love this place. From the welcome to the changing facilities and out into the little village of saunas and plunge pools . The staff are very welcoming and organised . You can see they are also dedicated to ensuring a clean , hygienic and relaxing experience for all users. I would highly recommend The Hot Box Sauna Cork

Great location and saunas and pools are great. Only draw back i would say would be the area around the saunas are concrete and just feel some matting or decking would be great as travelling from sauna to pool feels a bit unfinished. Also maybe some hooks or tables to place towels in areas where you need to rinse off wouldmbe great. Would be more than happy to change to 5 stars then 😊. All in all great facility
